She enjoys the variety and challenges of emergency surgery and has a special interest in trauma stabilization and the ongoing care of critically injured patients. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to both her patients and their families. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Payton-Russell enjoys horseback riding with her children and spending time outdoors around her farm with her husband and children as there is always something that needs to be fixed. She loves being surrounded by animals both at work and at home and feels fortunate to combine her passion for veterinary medicine with the lifestyle she enjoys most

  • Dr Meghan Sullivan

I graduated from Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025, after completing my undergraduate degree at Furman University and my Masters degree from NC State University. I’m passionate about providing high-quality care and building meaningful relationships with both my patients and their families. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially hiking and scuba diving. I’m also a proud pet parent to Tierra, my dog, and Theo, my cat, who keep life interesting and remind me that even veterinarians don’t always get to make the rules at home!
